Terms of Use (EULA), Usage Policy & Community Guidelines

We empower people to socialise in person by giving near real-time visibility of the local and global nightlife scene. This Usage Policy sets clear expectations within a broader safety framework.

Responsible use is a shared priority. These Terms set a reasonable bar for acceptable use, but they are no substitute for legal requirements, regional laws, professional duties or ethical obligations. We hold people accountable for inappropriate use, and breaking or circumventing our rules and safeguards may mean you lose access to NITELIVE or face other penalties required by regional regulation.

We build with safety first. We monitor and enforce these policies with privacy safeguards and clear review processes in place, and we provide a simple way to report misuse from inside the app.

We adapt as we learn. We update these rules so they are neither overly restrictive nor insufficient to protect people. We reserve all rights to withhold access where we reasonably believe it necessary to protect the service, our users, or anyone else.

• Threats, intimidation, harassment, bullying or defamation
• Promotion or facilitation of suicide, self-harm or disordered eating
• Sexual violence, or non-consensual intimate content
• Nudity, sexual content, or sexually suggestive material
• Terrorism or violence, including hate-based violence, and hate speech
• Illicit activities, goods or services
• Unsolicited safety testing, or circumventing our safeguards
• National security or intelligence purposes without our review and approval

People are entitled to privacy. We do not allow attempts to compromise the privacy of others, including aggregating, monitoring, profiling or distributing individuals' private or sensitive information without authorisation. You may never use NITELIVE for:

• Facial recognition databases without data subject consent
• Real-time remote biometric identification in public spaces
• Using someone's likeness, image or voice without consent in ways that could confuse authenticity
• Evaluating or classifying individuals by social behaviour, personal traits or biometric data, including social scoring or inferring sensitive attributes
• Assessing or predicting the risk of someone committing an offence based solely on personal traits or profiling
• Content that identifies, targets or embarrasses private individuals without their consent

Children and teenagers deserve special protection. The app uses image recognition to block prohibited uploads, as described in our Privacy Policy. NITELIVE must never be used to exploit, endanger or sexualise anyone under 18. We prohibit:

• Child sexual abuse material (CSAM), whether or not any portion is AI generated
• Grooming of minors
• Exposing minors to age-inappropriate content, such as graphic self-harm, sexual or violent content
• Shaming or stigmatising the body type or appearance of minors
• Dangerous challenges aimed at minors
• Underage sexual or violent roleplay
• Underage access to age-restricted goods or activities

People should be able to make decisions about their lives and communities. NITELIVE may not be used to manipulate or deceive people, interfere with human rights, exploit vulnerabilities, or obstruct access to education or critical services, including:

• Deceit, fraud, scams, spam or impersonation
• False information about venues, areas, regions or marketing campaigns
• Deliberate fake promotional content
• AI-generated content presented as real content relating to venues
• Content relating to the use or promotion of Class A, B or C drugs
• Content you do not have the right to share

• Automated screening. Every photo is scanned by automated content moderation before it becomes visible. Videos are screened by analysing a still frame taken from the video. Comments are screened against a prohibited-terms filter. Anything that fails is rejected and deleted immediately.
• Report anything. Any user can report any photo, video or comment from inside the app. Reported content is hidden from the reporter immediately, and removed for everyone once independent reports confirm it.
• Block anyone. Any user can block another user from inside the app. Blocked users' content is hidden from you everywhere in NITELIVE, permanently.
• Delete your own posts. You can remove anything you have posted at any time, and it disappears for everyone immediately.
• We act within 24 hours. We review every report within 24 hours. Where content is objectionable we remove it and permanently eject the user who posted it.
• Removal rights. We may remove any content and terminate access for any user at our sole discretion, without notice.
