NITELIVE Privacy Policy

• Your location — used only while the app is open, to show venues near you and to anonymously contribute to the live crowd heatmap.
• Photos and videos you upload — added to a venue's public feed so others can see what's going on right now.
• Comments you post — publicly visible to anyone who views a featured venue in the app but you must be at the featured venue to post a comment.
• An anonymous device identifier — a random ID generated and stored locally on your device. It deduplicates votes and reports, marks which posts are yours so you can delete them, and lets other users block a source of abusive content. It is not linked to your name, phone number, email, or any other personal information.

• No name, email, phone number, or account information.
• No contact list, calendar, or address book access.
• No advertising identifiers.
• No data is sold, traded, or shared with advertisers.

• Photos, videos and comments: automatically deleted 2 hours after upload.
• Live location pings (for the crowd heatmap): stored at a coarse ~11 metre grid resolution and deleted after 10 minutes.
• Votes: deleted 2 hours after the most recent vote.

Nothing in NITELIVE is permanent. The app shows what's happening right now — last hour at most.

• Google Maps Platform — used to look up venue details (bars, clubs). Your location is sent to Google only as a search radius; Google's own privacy policy applies to their service.
• Amazon Web Services (AWS) — hosts our backend and stores uploaded photos/videos until they auto-expire. Files are stored in the United Kingdom region.

• Photos are scanned by automated image moderation before becoming visible.
• Videos are screened by analysing a still frame taken from the video.
• Comments are checked against a prohibited-terms filter.
• Reporting and blocking are available on every post from inside the app.
• Your own posts can be deleted by you at any time.

There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. We act on reports within 24 hours, removing the content and ejecting the user responsible. See our Terms & Community Guidelines.
